Lockland and Hartwell are two adjacent neighborhoods conveniently located near the crossroads of Interstate 75 and the Ronald Reagan Cross County Highway (Route 126).
You may notice that the information and photos we display for the Brookview and Pinebook Apartments are identical. This is because they are two identical apartment communities situated less than a mile apart on the same street. The only difference between the two is that one is in Lockland (Brookview) and the other is in Hartwell (Pinebrook).
The birth of the town, and its name, are related to the first set of lock gates that one would have encountered heading north on the Miami and Erie Canal. Today it remains a residential community with many quaint homes, and boasts its own mayor, police, and school district.

The Northern Gateway to Cincinnati, this neighborhood boasts tons of charm and history. It was originally designed around a hub of churches with streets radiating out like the spokes of a wheel. It is part of the City of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Public Schools.
